I had heard locally that this pub style restaurant was worth a visit. Just returned, we had a first class meal comparable with the best. My wife had simple humous as a starter, confit of duck for main. both were excellent. The dauphinoise potato accompianment was outstanding. I had the crab cake for starters which was as good as any I have experienced on my travels around the far East. For main, I chose the loin of tuna, perfectly cooked and succulent. The vine tomato and salsa dressing was all that was needed to compliment the juicy fillet but came with crushed new potatoes, broccoli and green beans. We both opted for Sticky Toffee Bread and Butter pudding with brandy sauce and vanilla ice cream – sensational. Supported by excellent service from Russell, this was the first of many visits I am sure. My only regret is that this review may make it more difficult to get a table!!!!!!!!!!!
